The Always Hungry program is divided into three Phases, each with designated foods to enjoy or avoid. Each Phase requires that each meal have a different ratio breakdown of fat/protein/carbohydrates.
Phase 1 is the most restrictive, with a ratio breakdown of 50% fat, 25% protein, and 25% carbohydrates, with a large list of foods and liquids to avoid. This Phase lasts about two weeks.
Phase 2 has a ratio breakdown of 40% fat, 25% protein, and 35% carbohydrates. It adds certain grains and liquids back into the diet and lasts as long as necessary.
Phase 3 is meant to be a lifestyle diet to follow. It has a ratio breakdown of 40% fat, 20% protein, and 40% carbohydrates. It allows for indulgences and incorporates a wide range of foods and liquids.
